By train

Ostend can easily be reached from Brussels International Airport in Zaventem by train (trip duration between 100 and 130 min). The train stops in the heart of Ostend, at a distance of 3 km from the Conference Venue.

A special train service is provided from the Airport, applying a reduced rate ticket (a return ticket may not cost more than 21 EUR). Please download here the airport service folder for timetables and other practical information departing from ‘Bruxelles-Nat-Airport’.

By coastal tram from the railway station

From the railway station of Ostend you can take the coastal tram (10 min) to the Conference Venue. You will need to take the tram with direction ‘Knokke-Oostende-De Panne’ which departs every 15 min between 8.00 a.m. and 9.00 p.m. from platform 1.

The tram stop called ‘Koninginnelaan’ is located nearby the Thermae Palace Hotel (Conference Venue) and Hotel Studiotel Avenue. To reach Hotel Holiday Inn Garden Court, the best stop to take is called ‘Marie Joséplein’. Hotel Acces and Hotel Golden Tulip Bero can easily reached by foot from the railway station, or from the stop ‘Marie Joséplein’.

A travel pass for one day costs 5 EUR, for three days 10 EUR and for five days 15 EUR. Workshop participants who are accommodated in Hotel Acces, Holiday Inn Garden Court, or Golden Tulip Bero will be offered a 5-day pass for free travel on the Coastal Tram at the registration desk of the Conference Venue.



By foot from the railway station

The Holiday Inn Garden Court Hotel, Hotel Acces and Hotel Golden Tulip Bero are located within walking distance from the railway station (10 min). You can also choose to make a nice stroll along the sea promenade to go from the railway station of Ostend to the Conference Venue and Hotel Studiotel Avenue (20 min).Please refer to the map of Ostend for directions.



By car

The E40 motorway connects Brussels with Ostend. In 90 minutes you can drive from Brussels to Ostend by car.You can reach Ostend from Antwerp by taking the E17 that will lead you to the E40 to Ostend.
