The proceedings of the INVITOX 2006 Workshop will be published in a Special Issue of ‘Toxicology in Vitro’, the official journal of ESTIV. All participants giving an invited lecture, an oral presentation or a poster presentation are entitled to submit a short manuscript related to their presentation which will be considered for publication in this special issue.

Dr. Bas Blaauboer will be the coordinating editor, assisted by a committee comprising members of the ESTIV. The co-editors will arrange for the manuscripts to undergo regular peer-review by two reviewers and, following satisfactory revision where appropriate, will forward the manuscripts to the journal with the recommendation that they should be accepted for publication.

Please note that manuscripts must be submitted online before the beginning of the Workshop (October 1, 2006) in order to avoid delays in publication of the proceedings.


Manuscript preparation guidelines
All manuscripts must conform to the standards set out in the Guide For Authors for the journal. Please refer to http://ees.elsevier.com/tiv/ for more details.

As our page budget for the special edition of ‘Toxicology in Vitro’ is limited and we do not want to exclude any of the contributions a priori, a limit has been set to the total length of the submitted manuscripts. Invited speakers are allowed to submit a total number of 15 pages (double spaced, at 12pt font), including tables, figures and references. For all other presenters (selected oral communications and posters) the total number of pages should not exceed 10 pages (double spaced, at 12pt font), including tables, figures and references.

Please note that all manuscripts must be submitted to the special section of the EES that has been set up for INVITOX 2006 by selecting ‘Special Issue: INVITOX 2006’ as article type in the drop-down menu (see snapshot).
